More Great Cities
Hawaii Kauai - Home to the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific", Waimea Canyon; the island of Kauai is not only the northernmost of all of the Hawaiian Islands, but arguably the most beautiful. When it comes to sheer paradise, Kauai has it all. From the rain forests, steep cliffs, emerald valleys, sun-kissed beaches and the occasional rainbow, Kauai is truly a site to behold, one of those places that you must see to believe. One of the most pristine of all of the islands, Kauai's location helps protect it from growing developments, helping to keep its natural beauty.
Vienna - Vienna is the capital city of Austria, a small country of about eight million people. The city was originally established along the Danube River in the 5th century by the Roman Empire. But when barbarians took over the site around 488 A.D., all traces of civilization for the next few hundred years disappeared. Vienna is a city built upon its art, music and architecture. From the imposing Gothic Stephansdom (St. Stephan's Cathedral) in Vienna's old city center, to the world-class performances at the beautiful State Opera House, to a wealth of art displayed in the famous Kunsthistorische Museum, there is much experience here. Vienna is also known for its high-quality-of-life living. For example, Vienna's streets are unusually clean, crime is rare, and poverty is scarce.
Palm Springs - Originally occupied by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians more than 1,000 years ago, the Palm Springs area has long been a desert oasis for all walks of life. Tree-lined canyons streaming with sparkling waters and bubbling with hot springs create a rich natural environment. And with an average of 350 sunny days per year, the list of outdoor activities, whether they be athletic or leisure, is practically limitless. Add to that the exciting nightlife, shopping and dining of downtown Palm Springs, and you've got an enticingly well-rounded tourist destination.
Daytona - Daytona Beach gained much of its fame for having beautiful beaches, in more ways than one. In fact, these particular beaches comprised a unique hardness which proved to be the perfect environment to test-drive cars. During the 1930s and 1940s most of the land speed records for automobiles were established in Daytona. Soon enough came the Daytona 500, one of racing’s most prestigious events. The city has retained its racing history with attractions such as Daytona USA and the Daytona International Speedway. The beautiful beaches also attract thousands of spring breakers each year, as well as senior citizens and families year-round who are in search of a relaxing time in the sun.
Dallas - The most visited city in Texas, Dallas is an expansive metropolis offering an immense array of sites and activities, business, leisure and adventure. The city is cosmopolitan yet still holds on to its southern roots. Dallas offers the best in art and recreation, dining and nightlife, sports, shopping, and more. In addition, the city offers more live music every night than even Nashville -- from Country & Western music to blues, rock, symphony and much more.
Cancun - Located on the northeast corner of the Yucatán Peninsula on the Caribbean Sea, Cancun is famous for its white-sand beaches and crystalline waters, its pulsating nightlife, first-class hotels, and exquisite hotels. Activities range from dining, shopping and nightlife along the downtown waterfront, to boating, fishing and golf, to exploring cultural sites like the Salvador Dali Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, and the Tampa Bay Holocaust Museum.
New York City - New York City is still the business and entertainment capital of the world. Most of what makes New York so famous is cosmopolitan Manhattan Island. Thousands of people bustle along Manhattan Streets each day, exploring landmarks such as Times Square and Central Park, strolling down Broadway or Fifth Avenue, or enjoying the immense variety of theater, restaurants, nightlife and more. Hey, it's the city that never sleeps.
Miami - More than 10 million tourists a year flood Miami-Dade County to take advantage of the white-sand beaches, the sunny weather, the upscale shopping, the sizzling nightlife, and the outstanding “New World” cuisine that has taken on a style and taste of its own.
